Reading 8 : Think Globally, Upload Locally

We have discussed in class the article of J.D. Biersdorfer, Think Globally, Upload Locally (Responsible Web Design).
This article was talking about the differences between the books and the website and it also mentioned it advantages and disadvantages for example books are touchable materials but its also heavy to carry around, while the website has No limit for information you wish to put but some times you get a Low resolution images.
J.D also mentioned an example of website called Bert is Evil, this website was created by Dino Ignacio He was born and raised in Manila, Philippines and has now lived in SOMA for the last 5 years. This website is about a character called bert in the sesame street cartoon. He did this website to proof that bert was no more innocent children’s T.V character. So as a designers point of view we should consider everything little thing while designing a website for example the font the color the placement of the images and the designs so it could be helpful and readable for others.
And in the end I wanted to add that the discussion in class was really interesting.
